1. Bergen Catholic (5-2, last week #1)
A 24-yard touchdown pass from Johnny Langan to tight end Connor Hebbeler in
overtime allowed the Crusaders to beat #2 St. Joseph (Mont.), 16-13. They’ll close out their pre-cutoff schedule on the road Saturday night at Don Bosco Prep.

2. St. Joseph (Mont.) (5-3, last week #2)
For the second time in the last two years, the Green Knights dropped a game to top-ranked Bergen Catholic that took more than four quarters to be decided. Joe’s is off for a week before facing Paramus Catholic in Paramus on Nov. 7.

3. Middletown South (7-0, last week #3)
The Eagles’ linebacking group of Dylan Rogers, James McCarthy and Kevin Higgins managed to slow the Brick Memorial run game en route to a 21-3 victory. They’ll be idle Halloween weekend before traveling to meet Freehold Boro.

4. Paramus Catholic (3-4, last week #4)
Running back Tony Jones of
IMG Academy (FL), the 7th ranked team in the USA Today Super 25, scored twice on the Paladins defense, and PC lost, 28-20. They host DePaul on Saturday afternoon.

5. Don Bosco Prep (4-3, last week #5)
The Ironmen yielded 213 rushing yards to Biaggio Ali Walsh of
Bishop Gorman (NV), the top-ranked team in the USA Today Super 25, and fell to the Gaels, 30-16. They host Bergen Catholic on Friday night.

6. St. Peter's Prep (5-2, last week #6)
Quarterback Jonathan Lewis passed for two touchdowns and rushed for a third as the Marauders beat Union City, 35-7. They’ll play their final HCIL game of the year when they welcome North Bergen to Caven Point on Friday.

7. St. John Vianney (7-0, last week #7)
Quarterback Anthony Brown threw two touchdowns and rushed for two more as the Lancers beat Donovan Catholic, 63-21. They go on the road to face Monmouth on Saturday.

8. Old Tappan (7-0, last week #12)
Kevin Martinez went 11-of-16 for 277 yards and two touchdowns as Old Tappan beat up on Northern Highlands, 44-21. They head to Wanaque on Friday night to take on Lakeland.

9. Hammonton (7-0, last week #17)
Fullback Zach Barnard had 17 carries for 70 yards and a touchdown as the Blue Devils recorded a resounding 34-0 win over Delsea, who had come into the game ranked #8.  They head to Williamstown to meet the 15th-ranked Braves on Friday night.

10. DePaul (2-5, last week #11)
Quarterback Shelton Applewhite threw three scores, but DePaul fell to Elder (OH), 35-34. They’ll be in Paramus on Saturday to play Paramus Catholic.

11. St. Augustine Prep (7-0, last week #13)
Kyle Dobbis rushed for 181 yards and four touchdowns as the Hermits pounded Egg Harbor, 56-0. They hit the road to meet Vineland on Friday night.

12. West Deptford (6-0, last week #14)
Running back Quaran Dozier rushed for four scored in the Eagles’ 34-7 victory over Collingwood. They host Woodbury on Friday.

13. Delsea (6-1, last week #8)
The vaunted Delsea running game could do little against a tough Blue Devils D, as the Crusaders suffered their first loss of the season in a 34-0 setback against #9 Hammonton. They'll look to get back into the win column on Friday night against Triton.

14. Brick Township (7-0, last week #15)
The Green Dragons earned their fifth shutout of the year, beating Colts Neck, 24-0. They’ll welcome a solid Toms River North team to town on Friday.

15. Williamstown (6-1, last week #16)
Rich Stanzione tallied three touchdowns (2 rush, 1 pass) to lead the Braves past Eastern, 52-7. They play host to #9 Hammonton on Friday night.

16. Bridgewater-Raritan (7-0, last week #18)
Defensive lineman Cole Harper returned a fumble 15 yards for a touchdown in the Panthers’ 34-7 win over Franklin. They'll be in Annandale on Friday to play North Hunterdon.

17. Red Bank (6-0, last week #19)
After its big win over Red Bank Catholic, the Bucs were idle. They host Holmdel on Friday night.

18. South Brunswick (6-1, last week #20)
Running back Phil Campbell ran for three touchdowns as the Vikings defeated Edison, 43-14. The Vikings host GMC Red rival Piscataway, who's coming off its first loss of the season, on Friday.

19. Cranford (7-0, last week unranked)
Running back Sean Leonard scored the game-winning four-yard touchdown as the Cougars beat previously-undefeated Delaware Valley, 28-21. Cranford hosts Governor Livingston on Friday.

20. Lincoln (7-0, last week unranked)
Quarterback Zymire Gordon threw for 346 yards and seven touchdowns to lead Lincoln to a 50-8 win over Snyder. They'll host Hudson Catholic on Saturday afternoon.
