1.  Don Bosco Prep (4-0, last week #1)
Safety Kyle Sakowski came up with two clutch picks to help hold off Bergen Catholic, 33-22. The Ironmen take on fellow national power St. Edward (OH) at Fordham University on Saturday night.

2.  St. Joseph (Mont.) (4-0, last week #4)
The Green Knights turned a close 14-10 halftime lead over Paramus into a 42-17 victory. Tony Karcich’s squad looks to avenge a 2010 loss when it heads to Franklin Lakes Saturday night to take on Ramapo.

3.  Montclair (4-0, last week #5)
It was another day at the office for Khalif Herbin, who scored five times in a 50-14 win over Irvington. The Mounties are off in Week 5 before hosting Belleville on Oct. 15.

4.  Bergen Catholic (2-2, last week #3)
Bergen may well be Jersey’s second-best team, but couldn’t close the deal against Don Bosco Prep, and thus aren’t necessarily having the “second-best season.”  They take on Friendship Academy (D.C.) Saturday afternoon at Fordham University.

5.  St. Joseph (Hamm.) (3-0, last week #7)
Joe’s running back Eli Pogue only needed one quarter to rush for 109 yards and a score against Holy Spirit. The Wildcats head to Richland Friday to take on St. Augustine Prep.

6.  Wayne Hills (4-0, last week #6)
The Patriots rolled to their third straight shutout win, beating Teaneck, 34-0. They’ll take on a tough Paramus team Thursday night.

7.  East Orange Campus (4-0, last week #8)
The Jaguars got another big win in their 36-14 dispatching of Seton Hall Prep. They host Irvington Saturday at Robeson Stadium.

8.  South Brunswick (3-0, last week #9)
Perhaps New Jersey’s biggest surprise, the Vikings were idle in Week 4. They’ll be back in action this week when they travel to meet fellow undefeated GMC upstart Woodbridge Sunday afternoon.  

9.  Elizabeth (4-0, last week #10)
A stiff Elizabeth “D” held Westfield to a 6-6 tie at the half, and the offense pulled away after the break to give the Minutemen a 28-13 win. They travel to meet Plainfield Saturday.     

10.  Delbarton (4-0, last week #11)
The Green Wave kept their undefeated streak alive in beating Parsippany Hills, 43-7.  They host Roxbury this Saturday in Morristown.

11.  Holy Spirit (2-2, last week #2)
Jeff Steeb’s 18-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter was the Spartans’ only touchdown in their 34-7 loss to St. Joseph (Hamm.). They’ll attempt to rebound against Mainland after a by this week.

12.  Red Bank Catholic (3-0, last week #12)
Caseys running back John DiStefano rushed for 202 yards in a 14-7 win over Long Branch. RBC hosts Freehold Boro Thursday at Count Basie Field in Little Silver. 

13.  Immaculata (4-0, last week #13)
Kellen Sperduto had a monster game for the Spartans, rushing for 146 yards and a score and registering 16 tackles in a 12-0 win over Watchung Hills. Immaculata is back in action Thursday night against winless Bridgewater-Raritan.  

14.  Haddonfield (3-0, last week #14)
The Haddonfield defense forced three second-half turnovers to beat West Deptford, 31-21. The Bulldawgs travel to Somerdale Thursday night to battle Sterling.

15.  Pascack Valley (4-0, last week #15)
Running back Brian Swatek scored three times on the ground to lead the Indians over Mahwah, 30-0. They host their second of three straight games Thursday night against West Milford.

16.  Hunterdon Central (3-1, last week #16)
Red Devils quarterback Blake Searfoss tossed two touchdown passes in HC’s 31-6 victory over Hillsborough. They’ll head to Annandale to take on North Hunterdon Thursday night.

17.  Williamstown (4-0), last week #17)
The Braves just keep rolling, and beat up on Moorestown, 41-16. They’ll take a week off before hosting Cherry Hill West in Week 6.

18.  St. Peter’s Prep (2-2, last week #18)
Quarterback Napoleon returned to action with a passing touchdown and a kick return score to lead the Marauders past Boston College High (MA), 35-19. St. Peter’s takes on Ursuline (OH) at Fordham University Saturday afternoon.
 

19.  Woodbridge (4-0, last week #20)
The Barrons completely overwhelmed East Brunswick, 42-13, to remain unbeaten. Woodbridge hosts South Brunswick Sunday in a game that could decide the Greater Middlesex Conference Red Division title.

20.  Sayreville (3-1, last week #19)
Sayreville got quite a spirited effort from Edison, but ultimately prevailed, 21-13. The Bombers will face another Edison squad, J.P. Stevens, Thursday night at home.
