Welcome to the 2020 Season (Finally)

The 2020 high school football season will be like no other we've had before, and hopefully, we'll be back to normal in 2021.

The playoffs as we know them are essentially taking the year off, replaced officially by Football Postseason Groupings.

Power Points, Opponents' Strength Index and UPR will not be used to determine those matchups, but Gridiron New Jersey will post these from time to time throughout the season, just as a way for teams to see how they stack up with one another and how things might look under "normal" circumstances.

However, Strength Index will be updated throughout the year, as these numbers will play a vital role for continuity, with the traditional playoff format, hopefully, returning in 2021.

To determine how a team's Strength Index is computed, please check out the NJSIAA's Football Regulations.

As always, we welcome your feedback, and wish everyone a healthy and successful season.
