NON-PUBLIC TOP 5

1. St. Peter’s Prep (3-0, last week #1)
Six sacks by the Marauders defensive front helped them to beat Seton Hall Prep, 42-14. St. Peter’s Prep will look for their fourth straight win at #3 Paramus Catholic on Friday.

2. Bergen Catholic (4-0, last week #2)
Michael Kearney’s 20-yard field goal in the fourth quarter was the difference in BC’s 17-14 win over 3rd ranked Paramus Catholic. The Crusaders will be in Montvale to take on #4 St. Joseph on Saturday.

3. Paramus Catholic (3-1, last week #3)
PC held a 14-7 lead going into the fourth quarter, but ultimately fell to #2 Bergen Catholic. The Paladins will look to rebound when top-ranked St. Peter’s Prep comes to town on Friday.

4. St. Joseph (Mont.) (2-1, last week #4)
Joe’s was off this week after a win over Delbarton. The Green Knights host #2 Bergen Catholic on Saturday afternoon.

5. St. Augustine Prep (4-0, last week #5)
Quarterback Josh Zamot went 11-of-11 for 121 yards and a touchdown, and also ran for two scores and 160 yards as St. Augustine Prep. beat Millville, 41-21. They're idle this week before hosting Bridgeton on Oct. 7.

1. Toms River North (3-0, last week #1)
Running back Parker Day ran for 142 yards and four scores, including three in the first half, as North beat Brick Township, 62-34. The Mariners go on the road to battle Howell on Friday night.

2. Timber Creek (3-0, last week #2)
QB Devin Leary went 12-of-20 for 275 yards and five touchdowns to push Timber Creek past Clearview, 49-7. They’ll have a week off before taking on Eastern.

3. Middletown South (3-0, last week #3)
RB Anthony Summey ran for two touchdowns as the Eagles beat Manasquan, 21-14. Middletown South hosts Rumson-Fair Haven on Friday night.

4. Montclair (2-0, last week #4)
After back-to-back blowout wins over Passaic County Tech and Livingston, the Mounties were idle. They return to action on Friday night at Union City.

5. Cedar Creek (3-0, last week #5)
Quarterback Jesse Mitza rushed for 80 yards to pace the Pirates’ in their 21-7 win over Ocean City. They’ll look for their fourth win at Camden on Friday night.

6. Ridgewood (3-0, last week #7)
RB Zach Feagles rushed 20 times for 148 yards and two touchdowns as the Maroons beat Clifton, 30-0. Ridgewood hosts Old Tappan on Friday night.

7. Piscataway (3-0, last week #8)
Running back Elijah Barnwell rushed for 159 yards and two scores to push the Chiefs to a win over South Brunswick, 26-14. Piscataway is off this week, and hosts Sayreville on Oct. 7.

8. Westfield (3-0, last week #9)
Quarterback Phillip Martini threw two touchdowns to lead Westfield to a 37-10 triumph over Franklin. They go on the road to take on Watchung Hills on Friday night.

9. Wayne Hills (3-1, last week #10)
QB Brandon DeVera went 17-of-24 for 229 yards and three touchdowns, and the Patriots won their third straight game with a 34-27 victory over Old Tappan. The Patriots host winless Millburn on Saturday.

10. Manalapan (3-0, last week unranked)
Running back Naim Mayfield rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Braves to a statement-making 41-0 victory over Old Bridge. They’ll be on the road to face Freehold Boro on Saturday.

11. West Deptford (3-0, last week #11)
Linebacker Nick Novak had four sacks to lead a ferocious Eagles defensive effort, and West Deptford downed Overbrook, 35-6. The Eagles will be off for a week before hosting Sterling.

12. Shawnee (3-0, last week #12)
Joe Dalsey’s second-quarter 45-yard field goal proved to be the difference in Shawnee’s 17-14 win over Washington Township. After a bye, the Renegades host Kingsway on Oct. 7.

13. Bridgewater-Raritan (3-0, last week #15)
Running back David Usewick rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns as the Panthers defeated Phillipsburg, 30-7. They play host to Montgomery on Friday night.

14. Rancocas Valley (3-0, last week unranked)
Quarterback Bryce Mangene went 12-of-22 for 223 yards and three touchdowns in the Red Devils’ victory over Trenton, 49-31. They host Washington Township on Friday.

15. Lenape
(3-0, last week unranked)
The Indians’ defense has allowed just 10 points in three games, and was stifling in a 20-3 victory over Burlington Township. Up next for Lenape is a Friday night showdown at Seneca.
